The city of Tbilisi occupies 502 km2 of the territory of Georgia and its population holds more than 1.6 million people, but it has the potential to grow to more than 5 million residents. Therefore, the question arises, how much does the City Hall help the Tbilisi to use its full potential? The most important factor for the growth of the city is its amenities, which include cleanliness and waste minimization-recycling. Although there are trash cans in the city, where we can place different types of waste separately, there is no mechanism that can separate the recyclable waste, which brings up a question of – is this just a facade for the residents? We can observe this with our own eyes at Technical University, Liberty Square, Tsereteli Avenue, and many more locations, where there are bins that look like they should have multiple different waste storages, but really are all gathered up into one. Unfortunately, to the average eye, this stays unnoticed.
